Kathryn Taucher Wolfe

Kathryn Taucher Wolfe, 91 of Johnstown, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Villa Personal Care Home in Johnstown. She was born April 8, 1925, in Burgettstown the daughter of the late Frank Taucher and Mary Margaret O’Hara Taucher. Kathryn was a 1943 graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown and worked in the EKG department at the Washington Hospital for several years. She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church. Kathryn enjoyed crafts, quilting, reading, camping, traveling and western square dancing. On May 21, 1947, she married Howard Edward Wolfe, who died August 19, 2007. Surviving are a son, Dennis (Margie) Wolfe of Sanford, NC; three daughters, Theresa Connor of Johnstown, PA, Deborah (Richard) Harris of Huntingdon, PA, Christine (Frank) Seibel of Yakima, WA; two brothers, Ray Taucher and Gene Taucher both of Burgettstown; a sister, Florence McBridge of Oakland Park, FL; eight grandchildren, MaryKay Persing, Diane Wentz, Jennifer Yanko, Greg Yanko, Nic Harris, Paige Wolfe, Jodi Campbell and Holly Harris; seven great grandchildren, Dylan Wentz, Haylee Wentz, Sabrina Mitchell, Brody Persing, Liam Wolfe-Williams, Everett and Walker Campbell. Deceased are a grandson, Daniel Wolfe and a brother, Louis Taucher. Friends will be received Monday, November 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Thomas O’Neil as celebrant.
