Erma Mae Gray

Erma Mae Gray, 74 of Washington, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Washington Hospital. She was born June 4, 1942 in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Carl T. Holmes and Opal L. McBee Holmes. Erma was a homemaker and loved crafts, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the highlight of her day. She also loved her dog “Fuzzy”. On September 10, 1960, she married Kenneth Alvin “Fuzzy” Gray Sr., who died May 16, 2013. Surviving are a son, Kenneth A. (Tammy) Gray Jr. of Somerset; four daughters, Debbie (James) Bebout of Washington, Patricia (Joseph) Cogniet of Westland, Becky Loar (Gasper Diaz-Mendez) of Washington, Diana (William Loar) Barnhart of Washington; a brother, Jack Holmes of Washington; a sister, Barbara Cage of Taylorstown; grandchildren, Kristy, Ryan, Randy, James, Tina, Ashley, Kevin, Korey, Amber, William, Stephanie; 17 great grandchildren and dog “Fuzzy”, whom she loved. Deceased are four brothers, Walter Holmes, Carl Holmes, Thomas Holmes and James Holmes; two sisters, Mary Georgie Holmes and Evelyn Morris. Friends will be received Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
