Mona Lou Henry, 84 of Washington, died Sunday, November 6, 2016 at home.
She was born March 10, 1932 in Washington, the daughter of the late Charles Watters and Nettie Nickerson Watters.
Mona was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School and was a homemaker.
Mona was a member of Faith Ministries and graduated in 1994 from Shiloh Bible Institute of Washington.
She volunteered at the Washington Hospital, Washington Christian Outreach, Salvation Army and various faith based programs in Washington. She was also a foster parent for many years.
On May 3, 1951, she married Jack Henry who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Jack (Jeffrey Alen) Henry of Palm Springs, CA, Rush Henry of Washington and William (Kimberly) Henry of Washington; three daughters, Darlene (Erick) Kershner of Mt. Joy, PA, Susan (Michael) Mayer of Liberty, NC, Bette (Gary) Watson of Amity; fourteen grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Harry Watters, Charles Watters, Robert Watters; seven sisters, Coreen Yaros, Ruth Riggs, Virginia Abriel, Martha Hall, Marilyn Dewitt, Delores Eakin and Bette Muhleman.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 from noon to 2:00 p.m., the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, with Rev. Michael Singo officiating. Burial is private.
