William McCalmont White, 57 of Washington, died Monday, November 7, 2016. He was a resident of Southmont for the past four years, previously residing on the family farm.
He was born July 23, 1959 in Washington, the son of Zona Bowen White of Washington and the late Harry McCalmont “Mac” White.
William was a graduate of Chartiers Houston High School.
He was a member of Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and a member of “Open Doors for the Handicapped”.
William was an avid Pirates fan, and never missed a game. He also enjoyed watching the Penguins, and playing board games.
Surviving in addition to his mother are a brother, Bruce (Cheryl) White of State College; a sister Bonnie (Edward) Thomas of Burgettstown; a nephew, Nathan (Michelle) Thomas and nieces, Natalie (Eric) Green and Jennifer (Martin) Wall.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Services will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Pastor Robert Shull officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
