Vauneida Henderson Martin

VaunEida Margaret Henderson Martin, 76, of Avella, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at home. She was born September 23, 1940 in Washington, the daughter of the late Ottis Henderson and Hazel Kuhn Henderson. VaunEida was a homemaker and loved spending time with her husband, they were inseparable. She enjoyed living on the farm in Avella, spending time with family, reading, cooking and canning from her garden. In October of 1955, she married Donald W. Martin, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Nina (Richard) LeClaire of Monticello, MN, Diana (Craig) Penney of Sacramento, CA; two brothers, Paul (Shirley) Henderson of Washington, Patrick (Sue) Henderson of Washington; a sister, Janice Gump of Washington; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Larry) Weiss of MN, Beth (Steve) Mansfield of MN, Desiree Turner, CA, Nina (Antonio) Carranzo of CA; four great granddaughters; six great grandsons; one great great grandson; many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister, Shirley Cain; a great grandson, Zachary Weiss. Friends will be received Friday, October 21, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington with Pastor Keith Meier officiating. Burial will follow at West Middletown Cemetery.
