Ruth Elizabeth Courtwright

Ruth Elizabeth Courtwright, 87, of Washington, died Thursday, October 13, 2016, in the Emergency Department of Washington Hospital.   She was born February 1, 1929, in Eighty Four, a daughter of the late Frank Isaac Mitchell and Etta Scott Mitchell.   Mrs. Courtwright graduated from Bentworth High School in 1948, and worked as a packer at Ball Glass.  She loved flower gardening, being outside, and sitting on her porch talking to neighbors.   On July 30, 1955, she married John Herschel Courtwright, who died December 25, 1984.   Surviving is a daughter, Deborah Courtwright of Washington.   Friends will be received from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., the time of service, Monday, October 17th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.  Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
