Robert George Hodinko, 82 of Washington, died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Washington Hospital. He was born July 27, 1934 in Connellsville, the son of the late Andrew and Anne Hovanic Hodinko. Robert was a graduate of Uniontown High School and California State Teachers College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was President and COO of Horix Manufacturing, which he started in 1980 until retiring in 2001 and also worked at Hankinson in the 1970s. Robert was one of the founding members of Washington County Manufacturers Association and a previous member of Claysville Town Council. He also coached football at Wakefield High School in Virginia in the early 1960s, he played football at California State Teachers College, coached little league baseball for several years for Ten Mile Valley. He was Presbyterian and a West Virginia University Football Fan and a Steeler Fan. On December 10, 1954 he married Mary Lee Carl, who died January 9, 2014. Surviving are a daughter, Debra Hodinko of Washington; a son, Douglas (Melissa) Hodinko of Canonsburg; a brother Dr. Bernard A. Hodinko of Adelphi, MD; four grandchildren, Samuel and Hayden Hodinko, Robert and Katie Hodinko; a niece and nephew and several great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Service and burial are private.
