Charles E. Taylor, Jr. 84, of Davenport, Florida, formerly of Salem, New Jersey, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in Winter Haven, Florida.
His wife, Joanne Taylor preceded him in death.
Born in Washington, on September 22, 1932, to Charles E. Taylor, Sr. and Gertrude F. Taylor, who both also preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Washington High School.
Charles was a mould maker for Hazel Atlas, Continental Can, and Brockway glass factories in Pennsylvania, and later at Anchor Hocking in Salem, New Jersey.
Upon retiring from Chemical Leaman Tank Lines in 1988, Charles and his wife moved to Davenport FL, where he became an avid golfer. He also enjoyed traveling, and he delighted in his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his children David L. Taylor, and wife Ruth, of Peoria, Arizona, Richard M. Taylor, and wife Lynn, of Vineland, New Jersey, Michelle F. Gillespie, and husband Ernie, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Melissa A. Livingston of Ozark, Missouri; as well as eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
