Jefferey F. Florian

Jefferey F. Florian, 33, of Claysville, died Monday, September 19, 2016, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, due to complications of melanoma. He was born July 26, 1983, in Washington, a son of Gerald R. “Jerry” Florian and Sonja E. Evans Florian of Washington. Mr. Florian was a 2001 graduate of Washington High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Science/Physics in 2014 from CCAC, where he was a high honor student. An aspiring physicist, his ultimate goal was to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics. An amazing, gentle and very meticulous person, Mr. Florian had an ability to bring everyone together. He loved game theory, nature, the Pittsburgh Penguins and playing the guitar. In addition, he loved playing with his kids and taking walks with them. Mr. Florian was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was employed by Kuhn’s Flooring. Surviving are his wife of nine years, Chrissy; a son, Hayden J. Florian; two daughters, Anabell C. Florian and Violet S. Florian; five siblings, Benita L. (Michael) Haley of Washington, Anthony S. (Jessica) Florian of Washington, Justin G. Florian of Bridgeville, Gregory L. (Sarah) Florian of Washington and Peter A. (Kelly) Florian of Washington; his in-laws, Sam and Cindy Desmond of Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 23rd, in Immaculate Conception Church, with Father Don Chortos officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
