Beatrice N. Conn, 89, of Washington, passed into the loving arms of her “Lovey”, on Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was born on April 29, 1927, a daughter of Harry E. Noble, and Dessie Dean Miller Faris Noble. On February 10, 1944, she married the love of her life, Howard S. “Lovey” Conn, who passed away on February 26, 2012, after spending seventy-two love-filled years together. Always at each other’s side, Beatrice and Howard operated Conn’s Service Station, on Route 40, Claysville, for many years. They also managed numerous apartment buildings in the Pittsburgh area, and retired from The Park Mansions of Pittsburgh, the home of Mister Rogers. Beatrice loved being a part of “Mister Rogers Neighborhood.” She attended Friendship Community Church of Washington. Beatrice was a devoted, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and she welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. She was affectionately known as “Nan”, “Aunt Beatie”, and “Aunt Babe”, by various members of her family, who dearly loved her waffles, tapioca pudding, and deviled eggs. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Surviving are a daughter, and son-in-law, Linda and Robert Burgh, of Washington, with whom she made her home; a daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and David “Dusty” Stockdale, of Prosperity; a daughter-in-law, Olive Conn, of Washington; grandchildren, Edward (Becky) Burgh, Susan (Ronald) Corrado, and Christopher (Jennifer) Stockdale, all of Washington; Benjamin (Brandi) Stockdale, of Pensacola, FL; and Joseph (Wendy) Ayre, of Avella; nine great grandchildren; six, and soon to be seven, great-great grandchildren, and several beloved nieces and nephews. Deceased is a son, Michael D. Conn, a daughter, Helen “Connie” Seibel, a great grandchild, Robert Sheldon Burgh, four sisters, Virginia McCoy, Gladys “Muzzy” Mounts, Hannah McClelland, and a brother, James Faris. A sister, Mary Lou Noble, and a brother, Raymond Faris, died in infancy. She was the last of her immediate family. Friends will be received on Friday, September 16, from 4 to 9 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2016, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating.
