William H. Manning, Sr., 83, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 8, 2016, in his home.
He was born on June 27, 1933, in Altoona, a son of the late Clair and Pearl Elsie Wingard Dewey.
Mr. Manning had worked as a truck driver for Black Top Paving.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to the casino.
On March 12, 1952, he married Agnes Alwine, who died on July 13, 2013.
Surviving are a son, William H. (Diana) Manning, Jr., of Beallsville; two daughters, Margaret (William) McAdoo, of Claysville, and Sally Ann (Harold “Pete”) Berdine, of Richeyville; nine grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Clair Dewey, two sisters, Janet Manning, and Dorothy Dunkle, and a grandson, Harold Berdine.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13th, from 5 till 7 p.m., the time of a memorial service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
