Helen Marlene Bane, 78, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born September 25, 1937, in Washington, a daughter of the late James C. and Helen Morrow Henderson.
Mrs. Bane attended Washington High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, crafting, crocheting, and collecting Pillsbury Dough Boy figurines.
Mrs. Bane was a volunteer at North Franklin Fire Department where she called bingo.
On February 5, 1956, she was married to Fred Bane in Avery United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Callahan. Mr. Bane survives.
Also surviving are a son, David (Shelley) Bane of North Franklin Township; a daughter, Cathy (Roger) Voytek of Canton Township; a sister, Deloris Gilmore of Washington; and four grandchildren, Heather (Carrie) Voytek, Robin (Jake) Maloy, Tyler (Karen) Bane and Steven Bane.
Deceased is a brother, James Henderson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 29th, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
