Morton Troy Moore, 85, of Washington, died Monday, August 22, 2016, in Donnell House.
He was born January 27, 1931, in Washington, a son of the late Carl Clifton Moore and Elizabeth Virginia Cassidy Moore.
A 1949 graduate of Trinity High School, Mr. Moore worked as an operator at Washington - East Washington Joint Authority for 40 years.
He was a member of the Alpine, Elks and Arms Clubs.
Mr. Moore enjoyed building racecars, bowling, woodworking, and attending his granddaughter Bella’s softball games.
He was an avid Steelers and NASCAR fan.
On February 29, 1992, he married Caroline Scott, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Troy (Sharon) Moore of Butler and Tim Angott of Washington; five daughters, Susan Johnson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Vicki (Robert) King of Washington, Laurie Ann Grenwell of Steubenville, Ohio, Vicki (Bill) Dietrich of Prosperity and Katherine (Dale) Leech of Prosperity; a brother, Louis (Jackie) Moore of Washington; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Linda Stevens.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A celebration of life service will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
