Luverna Jean Elliott Staley, 91, of Washington, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at home.
She was born February 13, 1925 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late Thomas Elliott and Evelyn Spicer Elliott.
Luverna worked at Western Center for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Luverna was Presbyterian by faith.
She was married to Raymond LeRoy Staley, who died October 1966.
Surviving are a son, Kerry R. (Peggy) Staley of Washington; two daughters, Evelyn M. Hogan of Bentleyville and Beverly J. Scott of Washington; twelve grandchildren, Kevin Staley, Brett (Brandy) Staley, Patrick (Janice) Staley, Dane (Katie) Staley, Diana (Mickey) Miller, Raymond (Kathy) Watson, Edward Scott, Joseph (Marsha) Scott, Brian (Nancy) Scott, Jeremi (Crystal) Sensky, Josh (Karen) Pettit and Gabe Cimarolli; numerous great grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Daniel C. Staley; six brothers, Joseph, Jack, Tom Sam, Charles and Bill Elliott; two sisters, Betty Tulhs and Agnes Spicer.
Friends will be received Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
