Earl James Loar Jr., 87 of Washington, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Donnell House.
He was born November 19, 1928 in Washington, the son of the late Earl James Loar Sr. and Gladys Mae Donahue Loar.
Earl attended Washington High School was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He worked at Brockway #11 for 35 years as a packer and shipper, Mellon Bank in maintenance and also at Selway.
Earl was a member of First Lutheran Church and the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175.
He enjoyed crafts, especially plastic canvas, Pittsburgh Sports, gardening and was a big Nascar Fan, He loved his dog Trixie.
On June 4, 1951 he married Dolores June Binder, who survives, they were married for 65 years.
Also surviving are two sons, James Anthony (Pat) Loar of Ocala, FL, Robert A. (Donna McGahen) Loar Sr. of Washington; two grandchildren, Robert A. (Michelle) Loar Jr. of Monongahela, Elizabeth Loar of FL; two great grandchildren, Tyler Robert Loar and Isabella Marie Loar.
Deceased are two sisters, Betty and Nellie

Friends will be received Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175.
