Mary "Betty" E. Sekorky

Mary E. “Betty” Sekorky, 94 of Washington, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Washington County Health Center. She was born March 26, 1922 in Washington, the daughter of the late Wray Chambers and Dessie Holmes Chambers. Betty was a graduate of Washington High School and worked at Brockway Glass for 26 years. She was a member of Fairhill Manor Church and enjoyed baking, watching the Pirates and Steelers and loved being with her family. On August 26, 1942 she married Emery Sekorky, who died February 12, 2000. Surviving are two sons, Donald (Debbie) Sekorky of Seville, Ohio, Robert (Nan) Sekorky of Washington; a daughter, Louvilla (Steve) Skariot of Washington; three grandchildren, Cindy (Mike) Keelon, Michael (Tracy) Skariot and David (Jennifer) Sekorky; eight great grandchildren, Steve and Stephanie Keelon, William, Nicholas, Owen and Alexas Skariot, Oliver and Matilda Sekorky; Danny Nangle, who she was a caregiver when he was young for several years; special cousin, Della Faber; several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four brothers, Tom Chambers, Bill Chambers, James Chambers, Freeman Holmes; two sisters, Edna Mae Aloia and Marie Sutton. Friends will be received Monday, August 22, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Lehman officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
