John A. Manon, 73, of Washington, died Friday, August 5, 2016, in Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington. He was born December 29, 1942, in Alexandria, Louisiana, a son of the late John T. “Jack” Manon and Lillian Lucille Kendall Manon. Mr. Manon graduated from McGuffey High School and served in the Air Force during the early 1960s. He worked at Brockway Glass for 18 years, at Redman Mobile Homes, and at Action Packaging for 15 years. An avid photographer, Mr. Manon enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, camping, and riding horses. In addition, he loved riding with the wagon train on US 40 during National Pike Days. On May 9, 1998, he married Debra L. Wilson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Michael W. (Stephanie) Manon of Navarre, Ohio; two brothers, Thomas K. (Kimberly) Manon of Washington and Michael G. (Renee) Manon of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; two sisters, Twila A. (John) Fischer of Washington and Teresa R. (Larry) Smith of Meadville; three grandchildren, Cheyene N., Sierra M., and Jeneva L. Manon, all of Navarre, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, on Monday, August 8th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Private burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
