Guy “Connor” Jardine, 16 of Canonsburg, died July 31, 2016 from an inoperable brain hemorrhage due to a congenital disorder. He had personally chosen to be an organ donor prior to his illness.
He was born September 14, 1999 in Pittsburgh, the son of Matthew J. Jardine and Stephanie L. Taggart of Canonsburg.
Connor finished his sophomore year with high honors and was about to begin his junior year at Chartiers Houston High School. He was a member of the Leo Club (Lions Club) and very active in community service.
He worked at both the Cameron Wellness Center and Elmhurst Swim Club as a life guard for two years and was a member of the Elmhurst Swim Club Team.
He enjoyed swimming, was a member of the South Hills YMCA Team and also represented Chartiers Houston High School. He also qualified for the State YMCA Swim Championship Meet this past year. He was an avid snow skier.
Connor was a member of the South Hills Bible Chapel, where he was very active in the Roots Youth Group. He just completed a mission trip to Panama during where, he ministered to school children and orphans.
In addition to his parents surviving are a brother, Ryan J. Jardine of Canonsburg; a sister Madeline R. Jardine of Canonsburg; maternal grandparents John and Amy Taggart of Washington; paternal grandmother Rita Jardine of Washington; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased is a grandfather, Guy Jardine.
Friends will be received Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Services will be held on Friday at South Hills Bible Chapel, 300 Gallery Drive, McMurray at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor J. Ware officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery. All those attending funeral service are to meet at the church.
