Michael Duane Smith

Michael Duane Smith, 50 of Washington, died Friday, July 29, 1965 at the Washington Hospital. He was born August 11, 1965 in Washington, the son of Patricia L. Ulanosky Smith of Washington and the late George D. Smith. Michael graduate from Trinity High School in 1983 and attended West Liberty University for two years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served with the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg, NC, and was very proud of his time served. Michael worked as a telemarketer and surveyor. Surviving in addition to his mother are a brother, Mark A. (Patti) Smith of Prosperity; nephews, Gary, Greg and Chad Smith and several cousins. Deceased are his paternal grandparents, George and Alberta Smith. Friends will be received Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded American Legion Hunt-Kennedy Post #639.
