Glenn H. "Bud" Durbin, Sr., 99, of Washington, died on Thursday, July 28, 2016, in the Washington County Health Center.
He was born on May 30, 1917, in Bristoria, PA, a son of the late Glenn S. and Arlie Elliott Durbin.
Mr. Durbin retired from Jessop Steel Corp, where he had worked as a millwright.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Glenn loved spending time with his family, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping and golf.
On July 26, 1940, he married Dorothy Gail Duck, who died on September 12, 1997.
Surviving are a son, Glenn (Joyce Smallwood) Durbin, Jr., of Centreville, MD; a daughter, Mary Jo Kennedy, of Washington; six grandchildren, Glenn (Cindy) Durbin, III, of Centreville, MD, Kathleen (Scott) Stephens, of Washington, Stacy (Scott) Fleming, of Centreville, MD, Daniel (Denise) Kennedy, of Adelanto, MD, Michael (Lynn) Kennedy, of Washington, and Shelby (Jeff) Gordon, of Atlanta, GA; and seven great grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Herman Durbin, three sisters, Evelyn Durbin, Violet Myers, and Joanne Gasher, and a daughter-in-law, Linda Durbin.
Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, August 1, 2016.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
