Arthur C. Siburt, 89, of Washington, died Monday, July 18, 2016, in Transitions HealthCare, Washington.
He was born October 20, 1926, a son of the late John and Lena Roach Siburt.
Mr. Siburt worked at Washington Mould in the maintenance department and at Ferro as a security guard.
He was a shortwave radio operator and a member of Washington Auxiliary Police, which he enjoyed. In addition, he enjoyed listening to the police scanner and watching the Pirates and Steelers.
Mr. Siburt served in the Army during World War II, earning a Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, World War II Victory Ribbon and Army of Occupation Medal – Japan.
Surviving are two nephews, Earl “Bud” Weaver of Pittsburgh and Terry “Ted” Weaver of Morristown, New Jersey; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Flora Mae Weaver; brothers, Wilbert “Bill” Siburt and Wayne Siburt; and a nephew, Arthur Siburt.
Friends will be received from 6 till 8 p.m. on Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 22nd. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
