Patricia Jo Wald

Patricia Jo Wald, 63, of Washington, died Sunday, July 17, 2016 at UPMC Shadyside. She was born July 22, 1952 in Washington, the daughter of the late Robert Henry Hallam and Madeleine Haines Hallam. Patricia received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in legal studies from California University. She was employed at Tech Transitional Employment Consultants for 5 years as a Job Coach. Mrs. Wald was a foster mother, taught medical assistant classes at Penn Commercial and was a member of the Citywide Development Corporation. She loved horses, gardening and her dogs. On November 25, 2001 she married Ray Wald, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Steven (Mindy) Stewart of Washington; two daughters, Melissa (Ricky) Amos of Washington, Katharine Stewart of Washington; a brother, Robert (Sandy) Hallam III of Washington; a sister, Cheryl (Rick) Jacobs of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Stephen Grieb, Madeleine Amos, Jeffrey Stewart and Fiona Stewart; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Deceased is a sister, Carol Bigler. A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, with Pastor Joe DiDonato. Burial is private.
