Mary Joan Lennox, 86, of Washington, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016, in Washington County Health Center.
She was born October 27, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of the late Wade and Edith Horr Ewing.
Mrs. Lennox graduated from West Alexander High School and worked in the laundry of Red Roof Inn.
She loved to read, take care of her dogs, spend time with her grandchildren, and go out to eat.
Deceased are her husband, John Melvin Lennox, who died in June 1989; a son, Jeffrey Lennox; a daughter, Sandra Parkinson; two brothers, Glenn and Wade Ewing; and one sister, Lois Pappas.
Surviving are four sons, John Lennox of Houston, Randy Lennox of Claysville, Stephan Lennox and Mark Lennox (Tracy), both of Washington; two daughters, Diane Lennox and Vicki Lennox, both of Washington; two brothers, Neal Ewing and Barry Ewing (Joyce), both of West Alexander; two sisters, Nancy Rowe of Beaver County and Connie Jenkins (Ed) Of Claysville; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received Friday, July 15th, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
