Margaret Marie Stienstraw, 76, of Washington, died on Sunday, July 10, 2016, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital.
She was born on May 31, 1940, in Carnegie, a daughter of the late Walter H. and Betty Jane Lyle Nelson.
Margaret worked as a nurse’s assistant for twenty-two years.
She loved her dogs, camping, nature, and eating out at Mehlman’s Cafeteria, in St. Clairsville, OH.
On May 7, 1960, she married Daniel E. Stienstraw, Sr., who survives. They just celebrated fifty-six wonderful years of marriage.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel E. (Amie) Stienstraw, Jr., and Robert “Bob” (Amy) Stienstraw, both of Washington; two daughters, Judy (Adeb) Bssisso, of Baltimore, MD, and Darlene Jones, of Washington; two brothers, Edward (Marion) Nelson, of Taylorstown, and Walter “Bud” (Janet) Nelson, of Washington; a half-sister, Patty Ann, ten grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Jacob Stienstraw, and a brother, Ronald Nelson.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 14, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
