Robert Thomas Bebout Sr., 88 of Washington, died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Hawthorne Woods.
He was born December 3, 1927 in Washington, the son of the late Walter T. Bebout and Alice McManus Bebout.
Robert graduated from Washington High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and received the World War II Victory Medal.
He loved working and troubleshooting for Bell Telephone as a lineman, which he did for over 44 years.
Robert was a member of the Bell Pioneers and the Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post # 175.
He married Katherine Harmon, who died September 19, 1991.
Surviving are a son, Robert Thomas (Melissa) Bebout Jr. of Springfield, OH; three daughters, Linda Bebout and Kathleen Haney both of Washington, Rebecca (Frank) Tallarico of Prosperity; a brother, William (Helen) Bebout of NY; nine grandchildren, Cecily (Jeff) Petitto, Nicole (Ryan) Connolly, Lisa (Daniel) Nabuda, Kimberly Tallarico, Selena Verner, Heather Grandon, Christopher Haney, Zachary Bebout and Joshua Bebout; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Lois Latson.
Friends will be received Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 2 to4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post #175.
