Dwight Elmer Pees

Dwight Elmer “Pappy” Pees, 88, of Amwell Township, died Sunday, June 26, 2016, in Donnell House, Washington. He was born February 19, 1928, in Marianna, a son of Glen Elmer Pees and Zoetta Margaret Clemens Pees. An Army Veteran of World War II, Mr. Pees was a member of American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175. He was a retired truck driver for Aero Trucking and bus driver for GG&C Bus Company. He loved to work on his farm. On May 16, 1973, Mr. Pees married Violet Elizabeth Main, who died December 28, 2015. Also deceased are two brothers, Richard and Homer Pees, and a sister, Gwendolyn Pees. Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 till 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 29th. Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery, Eight Four. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
