Scott Randal Anthony, Jr., 27, of Scenery Hill, died Saturday, June 18, 2016, in UPMC – Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born June 10, 1989, in Washington, a son of Scott Randal Anthony, Sr., (Kelli Coniglio) of Fayette City and Johnna Lee McClain Anthony (James Thompson) of Washington.
Mr. Anthony graduated from Trinity High School, attended West Virginia University, and graduated from Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He worked as a chocolate maker at Sarris Candies in Canonsburg and as an EMT for Fort Cherry Ambulance and Bentworth Ambulance.
He was a member of Cokeburg Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of North Franklin Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Anthony attended the former Grace Brethren Church in Washington.
On February 21, 2015, he married Miranda Katherine McGrady, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are two sisters, Amanda Thompson (Curtis) of Scenery Hill and Erica Cunningham (Eric Shreve) of Morgantown, West Virginia; a nephew, Maxwell Cunningham; a niece, Abigail Thompson; father-in-law, Scott McGrady of Scenery Hill; and mother-in-law, Darlene McGrady of Cokeburg.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 till 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 23rd, with Pastor Dan Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
