Kenneth Foutz, 68, of Washington, died Friday, June 3, 2016, in his home, following a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). He was born January 19, 1948, a son of the late Alfred Kenneth Foutz and Ellen Ruschel Foutz. Mr. Foutz graduated from Washington High School in 1966 and Point Park College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for ITS/ADC/Axcera as an electronic engineer. From 1966 until 1972, he served in the Army Reserves with the 429th Engineering Battalion and the 99th Arcom as a squad leader (E-6). Mr. Foutz was a member of Living Waters Church of God, Rice’s Landing Boat Cub and Washington Cruiser’s Car Club. He collected classic cars, enjoyed boating and vacationing at Myrtle Beach every year, and loved being active in his community. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Hammett Foutz; a son, Jeffrey (Jenny) Foutz of Washington; a daughter, Valerie (Billy) Varesio of Indian Head, a sister, Kathryn (Wayne) Shanor of Washington; and five grandchildren, Megan (Jake) Cumpston, William and Emma Varesio, Mellissa Robinson and Thomas John Foutz. Mr. Foutz was looking forward to seeing his first great-grandchild. Deceased is a brother, Kurtis Foutz. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 till 3 and 6 till 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 8th, with Pastor Michael Singo officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Living Waters Church of God, 965 Weirich Avenue, Washington, PA 15301 or to Hospice Care of Washington Health System, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
