Clare Weaver Debbis

Clare Weaver Debbis, 94, of Washington, died Saturday, June 4, 2016, in her home. She was born July 7, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of Arley B. and Effie C. Daugherty Weaver. A 1939 graduate of Washington High School, Mrs. Debbis retired from Star Dynamics, where she had worked as a secretary. She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with family. Mrs. Debbis was formerly a member of Third United Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Surviving are a daughter, Darla Debbis Doak; one grandchild; eight great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren. Deceased are a grandson, Scott Kestner; four brothers, Paul, Ralph, Keith and Carol; and two sisters, Lois Cain and Ruth Scholl. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, June 18th, in Living Stone Community Church, 265A North Avenue, Washington. (The church is located in the basement of the synagogue.
