Alexis Marcille Barnett

Alexis Marcille Barnett, 19 of Washington, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Washington Hospital. She was born August 24, 1996 in Washington, the daughter of Larry Thompson and Anissa Brown Thompson both of Washington. Alexis was a 2015 graduate of Washington High School and was attending the Pittsburgh Technical Institute. She was a friend to all who knew her and loved by many. Her smile could light up a room. She set challenging goals for herself and pursued them with great determination. Alexis enjoyed cheerleading, karate, basketball and being part of the Girl Scouts. In addition to her parents, surviving are four brothers, Larry Thompson II, Zachary Thompson, Darion Thompson, Christopher Thompson all of Washington; two sisters, Brieanna Thompson and Alaysia Thompson both of Washington; paternal grandmother, Sandra Tinsley of Washington; stepfather, Milton Moye of Washington; nieces and nephews, Phillip Whitlock, Amelia Thompson, MacKenzie Anderson and Larry Thompson III; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends will be received Monday, May 9, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Myron Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
