Barry J.C. Moore

Barry J. C. Moore, 68, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Washington, died April 9, 2016, while holding the hand of his best friend and wife of 30 years, Therese. Mr. Moore was born May 3, 1947, in Brownsville, a son of the late James and Mary Ianthe Rehe Moore. He was a graduate of Brashear High School and attended Penn Commercial. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the Army. Mr. Moore retired in 2005 after 36 years of employment at Allegheny Ludlum/Jessop Steel. He loved the game of golf and was an avid bowler, and enjoyed both sports immensely during retirement. Surviving are his wife, Therese Washinski Moore; a sister, A. Eileen Moore of Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many, many nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are brothers, John R. Moore, who lived in Florida, and George L. K. Moore, who lived in Ohio. Family and friends will sadly miss him, but they take comfort in knowing he is now at peace with the Lord. The family requests donations be made in Barry’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice or to Amedisys Hospice, 391 Seaboard Street, Unit 6, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The hospice team provided Barry and his family with extraordinary care and compassion. A memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m., the time of a Blessing Service, on Friday, May 6th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Inurnment will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
