Mark Kingfish Wasler

Mark A. “Kingfish” Wasler, 57 of Uniontown, passed into eternity, Sunday, April 10, 2016. He was born September 29, 1958 in Washington, the son of the late Howard David Wasler and Florence V. Hughes Wasler. Mark was a graduate of Washington High School and was President and CEO of Kingfish Worldwide. A leader in his community, he was a board member of Fay-Penn Economic Development Council, Past President of the Native American Business Alliance, Past Vice Chair of the Joseph A. Hardy Connellsville Airport Authority, member of the Uniontown Chestnut Ridge Rotary Club, and member of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce. Popular for entertaining and bringing joy through music as a renowned DJ, he was also a versatile musician, producer, and filmmaker. Beyond his musical and creative talents, he was most cherished for his charisma and humor. He was a friend, a mentor, a philosopher and a trusted confidant. His gentle soul lit up rooms, stimulated minds, and induced smiles and laughter. On January 21, 1989 he married Lori Lei Gordon. Also surviving are a daughter, Heather (Gary) Fani of Lemont Furnace, PA; four brothers, H. Lockwood “Buz” (Karin) Wasler of Beverly Hills, CA, Philip (Linda) Wasler of Pittsburgh, Lyle Wasler and Gregory Wasler both of Washington; two sisters, Florence “Sistie” (William) Albano and Alison Wasler of Washington; a granddaughter Tia Fani; a niece, Caral Craig of New York. Deceased in addition to his parents are two aunts, Louise Hughes and Francis Craig. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington. A public memorial, held to celebrate his life will be announced in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers or donations the family asks that offerings of kindness and generosity be bestowed to others to honor his loving spirit.
