James Melvin Holden, Jr., 54, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 4, 2016, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born on May 8, 1961, in Portsmouth, NH, a son of Jane Moseley Holden, of Washington, and the late James Melvin Holden, Sr.
Mr. Holden graduated from Cornell University, and worked as an engineer.
He loved spending time with friends and family, and enjoyed gaming, building models, travel, cooking, and watching television.
Surviving are his fiancée, Teresa Williams; a daughter, Ebonie Holden, of Sacramento, CA; two brothers, Tyrone and Glenn Holden, both of Washington; a sister, Michele Holden, of Raleigh, NC; and a granddaughter, Joi Washington, of Sacramento, CA.
Friends will be received on Saturday, April 16, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of services, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2016, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
