Karol Jean Weir, 68, of Washington, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, in the Washington Hospital, with her loving family by her side. She was born February 6, 1948, in Washington, a daughter of the late William John Williams and Sylvia Marie Phillips Williams. Mrs. Weir graduated from Richland High School. She was a homemaker who loved to put others first. She was very reliable, very organized, and taking charge was in her nature. Mrs. Weir loved watching her grandchildren play sports and was an avid fan of Pittsburgh’s professional sports teams. She loved her Starbuck’s mocha. Mrs. Weir was Presbyterian by faith. On June 29, 1966, she married Willis Harlen Weir, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Sean C. (Brenda) Weir of Waynesburg; two daughters, Dia (Kevin) McVay of Wexford and Jennifer (Joe) Johnson of Washington; a brother, Jack (Patsy) Williams of Charleston, West Virginia; two sisters, Angharad McEnteer of Louisville, Kentucky and her twin, Karen (Ray) Walker of Camp Hill; six grandchildren, Trystan Weir, Brooke Weir, Griffin McVay, Morgan McVay, Kameryn Johnson and Cole “C.J.” Johnson; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held in North Buffalo Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m. till Noon, the time of service, on Wednesday, March 30th, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
