Robert Woodrow Roupe, Jr., 79, of Washington, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in Kade Nursing Home.
He was born April 11, 1936, in Washington, a son of the late Robert Woodrow Roupe, Sr. and Mildred Josephine Seibel Roupe.
A graduate of Trinity High School, Mr. Roupe served in the Army from September 16, 1959, until his honorable discharge on September 2, 1961, with a rank of Specialist, fourth class.
Mr. Roupe retired from Jessop Steel.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
On September 3, 1966, he married Josephine “Helen” Roupe, who died August 28, 2006.
Surviving are two sisters, Margaret Joan Roupe and Patricia Lee Roupe; and a nephew, Aaron Thomas Roupe, all of Washington.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 30th, in Immaculate Conception Church with Father William Feeney as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
