David Loyd Marshall, 89, of Washington, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, in Transitions Health Care, Washington. He was born February 6, 1927, in Cameron, West Virginia, a son of William and Arvelia Durbin Marshall. A graduate of Trinity High School, Mr. Marshall Served in the Navy from March 16, 1945, until his honorable discharge on Mary 26, 1946, with a rank of Machinist’s Mate, third class. For his service, he was awarded the Pacific Theater Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Marshall worked as a truck driver for Blue Diamond for 20 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar. On December 27, 1972, he married Jo Ann Duncan, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Heather Ann Marshall of Washington. At the request of the deceased, private burial was held in North Buffalo Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
