Shawn Ernest Beatty

Shawn Ernest Beatty, 35, of Washington, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, in his home. He was born April 24, 1980, in Washington, a son of Walter J. Beatty III (Kimberly) of Claysville and the late Robin Marie Brown Beatty. A graduate of McGuffey High School, Mr. Beatty worked as laborer, carpenter and pipe liner. He was a member of Locals 1058 and 323, and was a son of the Taylorstown American Legion Post 907. He loved to spend time with his daughter, enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, and was an avid Steelers fan. Surviving are his wife, Maricela Martinez Beatty; one daughter, Dominique Beatty, at home; two brothers, Walter J. Beatty IV (Pamela) and Travis M. Beatty (Ashley), both of Washington; his paternal grandmother, Patty Beatty of Washington; five nieces and nephews, Jesse, Walter V, Travis II, Tyler and Autumn; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Deceased is his paternal grandfather, Walter J. Beatty, II. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 12th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
