Everett Glenn McDonough, 85, of Washington, died on Friday, March 4, 2016, in his home. He was born on May 11, 1930, in Dunn Station, a son of Clarence Franklin McDonough, Sr. and Helen Mannon McDonough. Mr. McDonough was a farmer for many years, and had worked repairing and maintaining equipment, at Brockway Glass Company, for more than thirty-eight years. He had spent five years working at the Brockway Glass Box Shop, in Zanesville, OH. He was Presbyterian by faith. Everett was a member of the Claysville Hunt-Kennedy Post 639 of the American Legion. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War with Battery B of the 519th Field Artillery Battalion. On January 22, 1950, he married Gladys Geraldine Cole, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Gladys Dianne Howard, of Melbourne, FL, Wanda (Dan) Six, of Washington, and Robin Mae Cole, of Washington; seven grandchildren, Dan Six, Jr., Melissa (Todd) Six, Jim McDonough, Nicole McDonough, Ricky Cole, Chris Cole, and Kira (Eric) Cole; four great grandchildren, Daniel Six, Ty Sefsick, Sadie McDonough, and Easton McDonough. Deceased are a son, Everett Ty McDonough, a brother, Clarence F. McDonough, Jr., and two sisters, Alice Marie Siebert and Jane Hillberry. At the request of the deceased, services and burial were private, and held at the convenience of the family.
