Douglas Terry Evans

Douglas Terry Evans, 58, of Washington, died Saturday, March 5, 2016 following a short illness at home. He was born April 14, 1957 in Washington, the son of the late Isaac. and Luvinia Grooms Evans Jr. Douglas was a graduate of Trinity High School and was veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for various local contactors doing home improvements and had also worked as a cook. Douglas enjoyed cooking and was very artistic in various mediums. On August 30, 2011, he married Ruth Parker, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Justus Evans of CA, Adal Evans of Washington; a daughter, Matia of Virginia; three step sons, P. Zore Cline of Atlanta, GA, Pierre Cline of Hopkinsville, KY, Raymond Scadden of Greencastle, PA; a step daughter, Perrine Cline of Falling Waters, WV; three brothers, Isaac Evans III, Kenneth Evans and Randall Evans all of Washington; a sister, Cozella Johnson of Washington; one grandchild; eleven step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to his parents are a brother, Jerry L. Evans; step son, Arron Scadden. At the request of the deceased, no public visitation of services will be held.
