Dennis Edward Polen, 76 of Washington, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Donnell House.
He was born April 26, 1939 in Washington, the son of the late Harry E. Polen and Lida L. Mattox Polen.
Dennis graduated from Washington High School and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, where he served three tours in Vietnam.
He worked for General Dynamics of Groton, Connecticut for 23 years as an electronic technician.
Mr. Polen was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family.
He was Protestant by faith.
On March 2, 1963 he married Constance M. Lucy who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Denis E. (Patricia) Polen of Bloomsburg, PA; a daughter, Mary L. Paradis of Connecticut; a brother, Ralph (Patricia) Polen of Connecticut; four grandchildren, Joshua Paradis, Kylea Paradis, Alexendria Polen, Aaron Polen and one great grandchild, Ethan Hons.
Deceased are two sisters, Carol Jean Swart and Linda Carpenter.
Friends will be received Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Home, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Martin J. Bausman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens.
