Mary Anne Hickman

Mary Anne Hickman, 80 of Washington, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at her home. She was born January 5, 1936 in Washington, the daughter of the late Elmer Edens and Helen Ice Edens. Mary Anne graduated from Trinity High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, boating and bowling in the Alpine Leagues. She was a Steeler fan and loved her dog, “Buddy”. On June 29, 1963 she married Edward Francis Hickman, who survives. Also surviving are a son, John Hickman of Washington; a daughter, Darla (Tim) McClain of Washington; a brother, Bob (Mary) Edens of Ohio; two sisters, Idabelle (Joe) Scandale of Claysville, Mildred “Mook” (Glenn) Dye of Glenville, WV; six grandchildren, Joshua, Travis, Kody, Sierra, Lance and Justin; five great grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday, January 22, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Sue Petritis officiating. Entombment will follow at Washington Mausoleum.
