James Richard King, 58, of Washington, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016, in UPMC – Montefiore, Pittsburgh, following a long battle with liver disease.
He was born April 23, 1957, in Washington, a son of Richard Lee King of Eighty Four and Janet Marie Kelso Curtis of Avella.
A graduate of Avella High School, Mr. King served in the Marines and was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal. He was employed as a truck driver at Lebarnold Corporation in Harrisburg.
Mr. King was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Washington.
On May 14, 1983, he married Tammy Sue Nestor, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, James Devin King of Washington; four brothers, Donald (Sandi) King of Avella, Vernon Curtis of Avella, Richard (Tricia) King of Canonsburg and Robert King of Chambersburg; and two sisters, Debra (Danny) Zuver of Avella and Barbara (Richard) Orison of Burgettstown.
Deceased is his stepfather, Clarence Curtis.
Friends will be received on Sunday, January 10th, from Noon till 4 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Dr. L. Stephen Smith, Jr., officiating.
