Harry D. Milhoan, 93 of Washington, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1922 in Ginger Hill, the son of the late Robert G. Milhoan and Eva Howell Milhoan.
Harry was 1942 graduate of Trinity High School and then attended photography school in New York City.
He was a member of First Christian Church, where he was an elder, deacon and a member of 2 and 2 class.
He was an independent bread peddler and later worked for Nichols Bakery. He worked as a photographer for F. Sklar Inc. taking babies pictures in homes and later co-owned Alhart Studios and then owned Family Circle Studios, until his retirement.
Harry enjoyed photography, woodworking and spending time with family. During his retirement he made Angel K Plaques.
On November 28, 1946 he married Betty Jane Neville, who died January 11, 2010.
Surviving is a son, Greg Milhoan of Washington and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his wife and parents are two brothers, Ray and Robert; six sisters, Mary Powell, Hazel Roberts, Dora Thomas, Mae Haywood, Bessie Anders, Marguerite McDonough.
Friends will be received Friday, January 8, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Smythers officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Ginger Hill.
