Betty Lucille Closser

Betty Lucille Closser, 83 of Washington, died Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Bellmead Apts. She was born October 8, 1932 of Charleroi, the daughter of the late Van Curtis McCracken and Anna Belle Stark McCracken. Betty graduated from Ellsworth High School and worked at various retail stores and was also a homemaker. She was protestant by faith and enjoyed reading, puzzles and spending time with her great granddaughter Josephine. On March 28, 1952 she married James E. Closser who died September 28, 1984. Suriviving are two daughters, Cindy Markulik of Washington D.C., Diane (John) Martin of Fishers, IN; a sister, LeWanda Yocum of Washington; eight grandchildren, John Martin, James Martin, Nicole Dillahny, Nathan Closser, Jason Closser, Michael Markulik, and Mary-Therese Makulik; several great grandchildren. Deceased are a son, John Closser; a brother, Donald McCracken and a grandson, Scott Martin. At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.
