Hazel Tustin Rea

Hazel Jane Tustin Rea, 93, of Avella, died Friday, December 18, 2015, in Washington County Health Center. She was born October 15, 1922, in Venice, a daughter of Harry E. Tustin and Verna E. Pettit Tustin. A member of Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Rea was a former elder at Cross Creek United Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren. On April 5, 1946, she married Maynard C. Rea, who died November 26, 1995. Surviving are a son, Charles E. Rea (Barbara); two daughters, Debra S. Rea and Linda J. Carter (Robert), all of Rea; grandchildren, Michael Rea Cox (Tonya), Michelle L. Danna (Justin); Matthew C. Rea (Julie); Andrew J. Rea; and Christopher A. Rea (Mary); and great grandchildren, Devan Cox, Logan Cox, Avery Rea, Sloane Rea and Justin Danna, Jr. Deceased are a brother, Ray Tustin; two sisters, Lillian Crawford and Mabel Tustin; and a granddaughter, Heather Ann Rea. Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 10 till 11 a.m., the time of service, Tuesday, December 22nd, in Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Lou Templeton officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 210 Main Street, Hickory, PA 15340.
