Doris J. Presto

Doris J. Presto, 82, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 2, 2015, in the Washington Hospital. She was born December 23, 1932, in Lone Pine, a daughter of the late Vernon Lewis Rice, Sr., and Myrtle Mary Gardner Rice. Mrs. Presto graduated from Trinity High School and worked at RCA, Kroger, Clark School, Washington Elementary Educational Park, and Fashion Bug in the former Washington Mall. She was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. On June 18, 1957, she married William R. Presto, who died August 15, 1969. Surviving are a son, William “Bob” Presto of Houston; a brother, Albert “Bud” Rice of Ohio; and a sister, Nancy Rice Giddings of Ohio. Deceased are two brothers, Richard H. Rice and Vernon L. Rice, Jr. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 8th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
