Merle Woodrow Frank, 67 of Washington, died Monday, November 30, 2015 at home.
He was born November 8, 1948 in Washington, the son of Richard Allen Frank Sr. and Lucille Columbia Johnston Frank.
Merle graduated from Trinity High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
He worked as a machine operator at Precision Steel for over 40 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, the Washington Veterans of War # 927, American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two sons, Brian (Leigh) Frank of NC, Bradley Frank of Colorado; a brother, Richard Frank, Jr. of Washington; a sister, Linda Lloyd (Ralph) of Killeen, TX; grandson, Camden Frank; his partner, Mary Hoover; former spouse, Donna Kennedy Frank; very dear friends, Lynn Frank and Laurie Hoover.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. Burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be held at a later date.
