Jerry "Bossman" Allen, Sr.

Jerry “Bossman” Allen Sr., 77, of Washington, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015, in UPMC – Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born June 3, 1938, in Washington, a son of the late Lester Allen and Olive Obney Rogers Allen. Mr. Allen owned and operated Jerry’s Auto for many years. He was a member of various local clubs. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Judy M. Barrows Allen, whom he married on September 22, 1960. Also surviving are two sons, Gerald W. Allen, Jr. (Ellen) of Dillsburg and Jeffrey L. Allen (April) of Amity; two daughters, Diana L. Dailey (Larry) of Burgettstown and Debra K. Allen of Washington; a brother, James E. “Sonny” Allen (Ellamae) of Washington; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Deceased are two sisters, Norma Jean Young and Betty Louise Keener; and four brothers, Charles, William, Richard and Robert Allen. Friends will be received Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 1st, with Mark Allen Lloyd officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
