Darlene Bober, 72, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 25, 2015, in her home.
She was born November 15, 1943, a daughter of the late Frank and Artalissia “Betty” McCartney Beatty. After the death of her father, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Andrew Lovrencic.
Mrs. Bober graduated from Trinity High School and was a homemaker.
She was an avid fisherman and very artistic person who enjoyed crafts, gardening, puzzles, reading, baking, cooking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
On April 28, 1962, she married Victor George Bober, who died April 6, 2010.
Surviving are two sons, Jeff (Kris) Bober and Mark Allen (Lucy) Bober, both of Washington; a brother, Robert Beatty of Florida; two sisters, Lois Beatty of Florida and Ruth “Ilene” Anthony of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Markie (Matt) Karlowsky, Victoria Bober and Christian “Buzzy” Bober; and one great-grandchild, Aiden Karlowsky.
Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 1st. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Washington City Mission, 84 West Wheeling Street, Washington, PA 15301.
