Walter James Nixon, 62, of California, died Thursday, November 19, 2015, in his home.
He was born March 30, 1953, in Washington, a son of Beatrice Imogene Williams Harps of Carnegie and the late Homer Nixon.
Mr. Nixon was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Vietnam Era.
He worked as a security guard at Mayview State Hospital.
Surviving are three daughters, Amy (Jim) Banfield, Jamie (John) McLaughlin and Kimberly (Joseph) Nixon; a son, Jimmy Nixon, all of Washington; three brothers, Richard (Cindy) Nixon of McDonald, Homer (Sandy) Nixon of Washington and Eddie (Rolinda) Nixon of Prosperity; a sister, Carol Kirshner of California; and six grandchildren.
Deceased is an infant son.
Private burial was held in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
